A job with one task
The setup is simple and slightly absurd. The narrator’s boss pays him for one thing: keep an eye on the boss’s wife. Then a night by the pool goes somewhere neither of them planned. Now the boss keeps calling, and every time the narrator tries to leave, she asks him to stay.
