A stand-in groom
The wedding is close, and Ava’s fiancé cannot make any of the preparations. Someone has to stand where the groom should be, and the job falls to her stepbrother Leo: the vows, the kiss, the dress. The official description ends on “the wedding night…”, which makes it clear where the series is heading. Candy AI credits Lea Fontaine in the series cast.
Episode 1
Episode 1 runs about 1:24 and stays in a bright bridal dressing room with gowns on racks. It opens on Ava in a white lace slip, a hand on her waist, as a man appears at the doorway. From about 0:13 she talks to the camera and adjusts her strap while Leo, in a green linen shirt over a white T-shirt, stands next to her looking away. Around 0:23 he leans close to her ear and she rests a hand on his chest. At about 0:40 Leo holds up a letter and plays it up dramatically, hand on chest. In the final stretch, from about 1:00, he stands close with a hand at her waist and the two talk face to face. Ava wears the lace slip, with its semi-sheer lace bodice, for almost the whole episode; nobody undresses beyond that.
Cost
Episode 1 plays with or without an account, and a free account opens episode 2. Episodes 3 to 5 cost 12 tokens each, 36 tokens in total. Premium is not required.
Is it worth watching?
Worth it if you like a countdown story, with a fixed wedding date and a substitute who is not meant to be more than that, and want the full series for 36 tokens. Skip it if you want a lot of locations: episode 1 never leaves the dressing room, and the closest it gets is a hand on his chest and a hand at her waist. For another bride who looks the wrong way before the big day, My Best Friend’s Bride is the nearest match. Tori’s Broken Vows moves the theme to the wedding day itself, but it needs Premium. Family-by-marriage stories are grouped under taboo.
