Guest list: one name missing
Alma throws a slumber party for her friends, and her stepbrother is left off the guest list. Then she decides to invite him in, and the night takes an unexpected turn, especially once their curious neighbour joins the party. It’s a group story more than a two-person one, which sets it apart from most stepsibling series. The official text doesn’t say who the neighbour is or which friend does what.
What the free episode 1 shows
Episode 1 lasts 57 seconds. It opens on the front porch and in the entrance hall, where Alma carries paper grocery bags in a white crop T-shirt and denim shorts. Around 0:12 her stepbrother, in a loose blue T-shirt and a chain necklace, talks to her in the hallway. At about 0:23 a tight shot shows a bare back above jeans, with no top in frame: that is the most revealing moment. Then Alma stands at her dressing table, changed into a pink satin camisole and shorts. After a shot of the stepbrother walking along the upstairs hallway, her friends arrive at the front door from about 0:36, in satin tops, a red cardigan and a green jacket. In the last stretch, from about 0:44, Alma walks into a bedroom hung with fairy lights where her friends sit on the bed, then peeks around the door, smiling.
Five names in the cast
This is one of the bigger casts in the catalogue. Candy AI credits Alma Salas, Carrie Lowell, Mila Nowak, Kayla Mercer and Dahye Hwang in the series cast.
Is it worth watching?
Worth it if you prefer a crowded, playful night-in to a one-on-one story, with two free episodes and 36 tokens for episodes 3 to 5. Skip it if you want a single couple or more than satin pyjamas in the free episodes, because episode 1 is mostly arrivals and outfit changes. Boys Not Allowed has a comparable night-in setup with a stepsibling twist, and the stepsister category lists more.
