Meet the family, in costume
A nervous boyfriend meets his girlfriend’s family on Halloween weekend, with a house full of guests and party games. Her stepmother, played by Mia Malkova’s digital twin, has other ideas. According to Candy, she rigs every game so that the boyfriend ends up as her partner, round after round.
What episode 1 shows
Episode 1 lasts a minute and takes place at a Halloween house party. It opens in a hallway lit with string lights, where the stepmom, in a black dress, a choker and red devil horns, meets the boyfriend, who wears a white pirate-style shirt and glasses. Around 0:20 a dark-haired woman in black cat ears, a short black skirt and stockings joins them and stands between the two. From about 0:30 the party moves to the next room, among guests in costume, including a maid and a masked figure, while a hand rests on his belt. In the last seconds the stepmom comes back close to him, and at about 0:54 their faces almost touch as the episode ends. Everyone stays in Halloween costumes; nobody undresses.
