Overbooked, three days out
In three days he will be married. He lands to find the hotel overbooked, and his future mother-in-law is in his room. There is only one bed. Candy’s synopsis leans on the countdown, with the vows set for Sunday and the trouble starting tonight, and that deadline drives the five episodes.
What happens in episode 1
Episode 1 runs 70 seconds and is partly shot from his point of view. It opens with him at the hotel room door with his suitcase; his fiancée’s mother, holding towels, turns and walks into the room. From 0:12, in the sea-view room, she wears a lace-trimmed beige camisole and lounge pants, smiling as she walks up to the camera.
At 0:30 there is a brief shot of a blonde woman in a white bra talking on the phone, holding a clothes hanger; then the mother stands on the balcony in her camisole while he talks on the phone, looking down. From 0:43 it is night: he lies shirtless on the floor by the bed, and she appears in burgundy satin lingerie, laughing, then lies on the white bed, smiles at him and turns over on the sheets. The lingerie on the bed, from about 0:50 to the end, is the most revealing moment, and it stays non-explicit.
