Prisoner, plaything, then rival
Ethan is a disgraced prisoner handed to Queen Veyra as her newest plaything. She expects to break him. Instead, the man she meant to bend starts rewriting the rules: of her bed, of her court, and eventually of her bloodline. The story is about a power balance that keeps tipping, with a queen who is part dragon and not used to losing.
The interesting part of the premise is the direction of travel. Most captive stories end with the captive giving in; this one promises the opposite, with Veyra slowly discovering that her prize has plans of his own.

The 72-second episode 1 begins in a moonlit forest, where Veyra, crowned and wearing a dark red velvet robe, kisses Ethan; the closest shot is his hand on her bare side around 0:06. Between about 0:12 and 0:31 glowing scales spread across her neck and her eyes turn fiery, the first hint of what she really is. Then the light changes: by day Ethan rests against a tree in a linen tunic until armoured soldiers seize him, and from about 0:47 guards hold him in a torch-lit dungeon. The final shot shows Veyra seated in a black and red gown with a high slit, eyes glowing into the camera.

Is it worth watching?
Worth it if you like dark fantasy where the woman wears the crown and the power keeps shifting, at only 36 tokens for the whole series. Skip it if you want skin: episode 1 shows no more than a bare side and a high-slit gown. If you finish it, the obvious next stop is Dragon Queen’s Dark Desire, and the fantasy category collects the other queens, witches and kings.
